Scope: what Agar does and does not do
What does Agar do under a power of attorney?
Document, registry, and administrative tasks at offices in Addis Ababa and Adama: certificates, filings, renewals, follow-ups, payments against receipts. You approve the scope and the published fee before work starts.
What will Agar never do?
Agar does not give legal advice, does not appear before any court, does not move money between third parties, and does not promise to change official processing times. Advocacy goes to an advocate you retain directly.
Can Agar get court documents?
Agar obtains certified copies of court files and registry extracts under your power of attorney. It does not represent any party and does not appear before any court.
What is a woreda document run?
A woreda is the local district office that holds many civil records. Agar goes to the right woreda, asks for the record, and collects it under your power of attorney, with proof at each step.
Can you collect papers from a sub-city office?
Yes. Sub-city and woreda runs are part of the standard document service, at the same published fee and under the same proof rules.
How are fees set?
Every fee is fixed and published on the pricing page before you pay. Official government fees, bill amounts, and courier costs pass through at cost, each with its receipt.
What proof closes a task?
Geotagged photos, receipt scans, document scans, and a short written report. The how-it-works page shows each proof type.
Agar and the government Diaspora Service
The Ethiopian Diaspora Service is a public body of the government of Ethiopia. Agar is not connected to it and is not endorsed by it or by any government office. Its official site is ethiopiandiasporaservice.gov.et.
Agar is a private agent. You hire it for defined tasks under a power of attorney, at a published fixed fee, and it answers to you with proof on every task.
