What Agar buys, collects, and delivers
You send the instruction, Agar does the ground work and closes it with proof. Common requests:
- Goods bought at the market or a shop, with the original receipt.
- A package delivered to family, with a photo at handover.
- Furniture and large items bought and moved for a home being set up.
- A gift bought and delivered for a holiday such as Genna or Fasika.
- Standing errands run for you as a personal concierge arrangement.
Agar is a service company, not a shipping line or a remittance firm. Items travel with receipts and photos, and money for purchases passes through at cost.
Help for family and elders
Many clients use this service for a parent or an elder relative in Addis Ababa or Adama. Agar collects medicine from a named pharmacy, delivers groceries, or accompanies an elder to an appointment. You receive a photo and a short note after each visit, so distance costs you less worry.

Common questions
Can I hire an errand runner in Addis Ababa from abroad?
Yes. You describe the errand and approve the published fee. An Agar agent runs it and sends proof when it is done.
Will I see receipts for what you buy?
Always. The original receipt is scanned to your account, and the goods cost passes through at that receipt value. No receipt, no purchase.
Can you deliver a package to my family?
Yes, within Addis Ababa and Adama. The handover closes with a photo. Note that Agar is not a courier company; this is a personal errand with proof.
Can you buy furniture or large items?
Yes. Furniture for a home being set up is a common request. Transport is arranged and billed at cost with its receipt.
Can you buy and deliver a gift for a holiday?
Yes. Genna, Fasika, Easter, and birthdays are the busy seasons. Book early in a holiday week; the published timeline still applies.
My errand is not on this list. Can you still help?
Probably. Send the details through the Other request form. If it fits within a power of attorney and Ethiopian law, Agar quotes a fixed fee in writing.
